The Cornish Rex cat has super short fur, like, really short, just the down hair or undercoat. Now, your regular shorthaired cat, like a Siamese, has three layers of fur – downhair, awnhair, and guardhair. But these Cornish Rex cats? Their fur is softer than anything else, no roughness here.
Now, let's get one thing straight – Cornish Rex cats are definitely not hairless cats! They're born with these cool curls, but they lose 'em after a few days. Don't worry, though, they start growing their coat back when they're about three to four months old. So, they're not bald or anything, their coat's just short and curl-free at first.

People often think Cornish Rex cats appear delicate, but appearances can be deceiving! While they may look fragile, they're actually quite robust. When you hold one, you'll notice they're surprisingly solid for their size. These cats have a strong, muscular body, though they have a slender appearance similar to Greyhounds. However, it's worth noting that Cornish Rex cats have hearty appetites, so you'll want to be mindful not to overfeed them as they can be quite persuasive when it comes to asking for extra food.

Our opinion is that all cats should stay indoors; however, Cornish Rex cats often roam outside regularly, even in cold climates like those found in the Netherlands. Additionally, Cornish Cats have a knack for finding the warmest spots to relax in every season without needing any temperature adjustments.

There's a common misconception that Cornish Rex cats are non-shedding and hypoallergenic. However, they do shed like any other animal with hair needs to in order to renew its coat. The extremely short length and fine texture of their fur may make it difficult to notice the shedding. Since cat allergies are typically triggered by proteins in their saliva, when cats groom themselves, they coat their fur with saliva, which can become airborne when shed fur is present. It's important to remember that every cat and person is different, so experiences may vary.

Cornish Rex cats are affectionate, lively, and sociable. They're agile, athletic, and smart, making them great for folks who appreciate an energetic pet. While they love cuddling up in your lap, they also enjoy perching on your shoulder or exploring from high vantage points. Some say Cornish Rex cats maintain their kitten-like behavior throughout their adult lives. Their active, playful, and loving disposition makes them perfect companions.

One of the reasons Cornish Rex cats are so popular is because they require minimal grooming, if any. Like any cat, they need their ears cleaned and their face and chin wiped with a damp cloth. Additionally, their coat should be brushed once or twice a week using a ribbed rubber brush or a soft-bristled baby brush. It's important to note that Cornish Rex cats should not be declawed. Declawing alters their foot structure and impairs their ability to use their "hands" effectively. Fortunately, Cornish Rex cats can easily learn proper scratching post behavior, so declawing is not necessary.

How do I reserve / pay for a kitten?
To reserve your Cornish Rex kitten, a $500 deposit is required, which can be mailed to us as a check. The remaining balance can be settled at the time of pick up, where the full payment must be made.

Do you have a waiting list?
We maintain a contact list and strive to find the best match for our kittens when they become available. We reach out to individuals/families on our contact list and try to match their preferences for color, gender, lifestyle, and other pets. If you're interested in our kittens, please fill out the form on our website. Those who submit the form will be placed on our contact list and receive email updates about our litters.

Is it possible to see the kittens before purchase?
Due to current uncertainties, we do not allow visits. However, we utilize FaceTime, videos, and photos to assist new parents in choosing their kitten.

What are the prices of the kittens and retired/adult cats?
We discuss prices upon contact. A $300 non-refundable deposit is required after selecting your kitten to reserve it. The remaining balance is due when you come to collect your kitten. The cost includes the Cornish Rex kitten, spaying or neutering, and rabies and distemper vaccinations.

What transportation options are available?
We prefer that you pick up your kitten yourself. Alternatively, you can fly to us and return home with your new kitten. We can also arrange to meet you at a neutral location.

Do you offer health guarantees with your kittens and cats?
All kittens are spayed or neutered before leaving our cattery. We guarantee that the kitten/cat will be healthy at the time of sale, tested negative for Felv/FIV, and free from any life-threatening illnesses, infections, internal parasites, and ear mites. Kittens are microchipped, dewormed, and up-to-date on vaccinations. We provide a one-year guarantee against the death of the kitten/cat due to genetic defects from the date of birth (excluding FeLV, FIV, and FIP, which are not genetic).

At what age can we get a kitten?
Kittens are ready to go home when they are 13-16 weeks old (4 months). No kitten will leave us before 12 weeks old. This allows the kitten to spend time with its mother and siblings, learning everything it needs to know before venturing into the world.

Will you provide recommendations and answer questions if we get a kitten from you?
When we entrust you with our baby, we want to ensure that you're prepared and knowledgeable beforehand. Please feel free to ask any questions if you can't find answers on these pages! We also love receiving updates from you from time to time—emails, SMS, pictures, videos—about how your kitten is doing.
